With an old Schwinn you are very limited as to what stem, handlebars you can put on it. This little accessory opens it all up. I can use any of the new stuff out there!
I had a hard time finding options to get better riding position on my old bike with a 21.1 mm stem. This allowed me to use a riser and some handlebars I had on hand.
